"A lovely spot with immaculate views, the kids loved the supplied kayaks. Getting them home and cleaning them was a small challenge. House and gardens were perfect with local birdlife hopping through the trees. Bedding was comfortable and clean. Kitchen well appointed. "

"The unit was a great layout, good location, had everything we needed. However unfortunately there was a strong musty smell when we first entered & lingered the whole time. Whenever the place was closed up for a few hours, when we re-entered it was really strong again. Quite disappointing "

"Friendly environment although a bit dodgy Just a comment as we experienced a fly plague,not sure where it came from as the property itself wasn't dirty and I cleaned everything I could again to ensure good standards but still flies where everywhere.."

The standard of accommodation is very good and showers and cooking options are excellent. Troy was an excellent and very helpful & responsive host. We enjoyed our visit and would certainly consider returning if we visit Marlborough Sounds again."

"Blue cod off jetty, shark and stingray cruising by. Amazing forest walks. Bathroom was not so clean and bbq so dirty it caught fire but we cleaned it and carried on. It was well worth it!!!"

"The place is remote and fabulous with a steep gravel driveway and set far above the road for noiseless nights of stargazing. It requires a little bit of off grid savvy but nothing even this 60 year old New Yorker couldn’t learn in seconds. The view is absolutely stunning, the house is quite comfortable.
