"The reviews are a little mixed for this hotel, but thought to still give it a go. Yes it's a little older hotel, not a brand new development. However the building and grounds are well maintained and inside is clean and tidy. Polite welcome on reception and the room was comfy, clean and tidy. Well appointed bathroom and good shower pressure. Couldn't really asked for anything else and will return if in the area on business. Cannot comment on food as didn't eat there "

"We have stayed here a few times and have always found the staff friendly and efficient. Cleanliness and bedrooms have always been very good. However, we were a little disappointed with the breakfast this visit as the food items were not very warm and the plates were cold. The taste was good, but would have been nicer had they been hotter. "It was amazing we traveled up as I had an England camp and it fell onto my partners birthday weekend we were met with an assortment of cakes to celebrate my partners birthday with a lovely hand written message from the team. We ordered a takeaway, a member of staff offered to bring up cutlery to eat it and 5 minutes later at our room door was a member of staff with plates and cutlery! They are amazing thank you so much for making our stay amazing! Our only moan is the beds aren’t very comfortable and on the firm side this is their only let down as everything was perfect! "
