"This home was a perfect stay during our visit to the Düsseldorf trade show(about 30 min). The apartment was super clean, bright, all the comforts of home plus more extras like spices, coffee, shampoo, and welcome drink and snack. Ellen was delightful and a wonderful host. "Horror...habe noch nie eine so runtergekommene Unterkunft gebucht...Möbel sind alle Sperrmüll, die Wohnung war dreckig ohne Ende (geputzt wurde dort wohl zuletzt nach der Wiedervereinigung), Schimmel in der Mikrowelle, im Geschirrspüler, im Schlafzimmer ging nicht eine Steckdose, Fernseher ohne Fernbedienungen also nicht benutzbar, ein Bett komplett ohne Latten im Rahmen, Dreckwäsche im anderen Zimmer... Wir haben über eine Stunde geputzt um halbwegs hausen zu können, dazu massig Geld ausgeben...

"This is the perfect place to stay if you wish to tour historic Kempen. The city is beautiful and you can stay in this cozy apartment and be within walking distance of everything. There is even an Edeka right around the corner. The landlady was very kind and helped us find parking options. "Statt die gebuchte Wohnung 2 wurde uns die kleinere Wohnung 1 mit nur 1 Schlafzimmer zugewiesen. Nachdem ich mich damit abgefunden hatte auf dem Sofa zu schlafen, traten nach kurzer Zeit (10-15 min) Atemprobleme ein. Auslöser waren vermutlich die stark verschimmelten Fenster. Ebenso war in der Nichtraucher Wohnung ein starker Geruch nach Zigarettenrauch wahrzunehmen. Das Mobiliar war teils beschädigt und alt. "Das Schwalmtal ist eine wunderschöne Gegend mit vielen kleinen und großen Seen. Man kann es wunderbar mit dem Fahrrad oder zu Fuß erkunden und genießen. Die Unterkunft (Fewo.) War angenehm ruhig, jedoch fehlten hier diverse Kleinigkeiten wie: Mikrowelle, Eierkocher, Wäscheständer, Gartenstuhlauflagen, etc. Solche Dinge sollten bzw. gehören heute zu Standard in einer Fewo."

"Der Aufenthalt war schön, ebenso die Umgebung. Eine gepflegte Anlage findet man dort. Einzig die Ausstattung der Küche war nicht optimal. Neben einem Nudelsieb fehlten Dinge wie ein Sparschäler, Geschirrhandtuch. Für das nächste Mal wissen wir da Bescheid."

"We stayed here for 3 weeks after flying in from the US to visit family in the nearby area. We didn't want to be in a hotel for 3 weeks as we would find that claustrophobic. This was the ideal solution. The park staff were excellent and could communicate easily in English and German if needed. It is extremely quiet here with easy access to the excellent Netherlands freeways. The indoor pool and the swimming lake were loved by my visiting grandkids. The service, pizzas and beers at the onsite...
