"Room really good size with very big bed and private bathroom. Very cool inside, so more than comfortable for sleep without fan or aircon. The floor needed a bit more of a clean / sweep in the room but the bathroom was really clean.There were two sealed bottles of water which was really useful. Room had a private balcony looking out to trees - there were birds and chipmunks around you could watch. "Lovely old bungalow. The butler service we had was exceptional. It’s cold at night so fires in rooms & hot water bottles in bed at night. Food really good. They don’t have a drink license so happy to serve your own. I just recommend you keep your gin in your room rather in their fridge. "

"Do not book this place, photos are fake, this place is empty of guests, under construction, dangerous & dirty. It is miles from anything & they told us that they are unlicenced meaning there is no food, alcohol & no transport to take you to anywhere. I will be contacting Expedia about a refund & removal from its site. Expedia has a responsibility to ensure other travellers are not cheated out of their money. "The opportunity to stay in a villa surrounded by tea fields was too hard to miss out on. We arrived from Badula on the train and were welcomed by the staff at the house. It was clean and comfortable and a 15 minute walk into town. The next morning we were given a great breakfast and then walked into the tea field adjoining the property. "Had a great stay over Christmas eve and Christmas day at the resort. Property was impeccable with amazing views. Very well appointed rooms. Breakfast buffet spread was extensive, with fresh cut fruits sliced up on demand and hot items cooked upon order. Dileep our housekeeper also made sure that our rooms, our kids and us were well taken care of during our stay. The best hotel we stayed at through our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended and definitely worth the long trip it took to get to Ella just for this stay!"
