The lakeside room was quiet and had lovely view over lake with only ducks, swans, geese, herons and Cormorants for company!"

The decor is somewhat tired but we did have a nice bright room with opening windows and adjustable radiators, which is always a plus. The breakfast was dull, basic bread, all the hot dishes precooked and sitting on top of heaters, lukewarm. The coffee was ok. It would have been lovely to have some local produce, real bread rolls etc."

"We and a group of friends enjoyed a one night stay at the Feathers in February 2025. We occupied room 216 which overlooks the high st. The room was on the small side but was comfortably furnished and the bathroom was a good size and had been recently refurbished and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and we were able to sleep with the window open. The common areas of the hotel are attractive and there is a cozy lounge and bar. Breakfast was good. "Lovely new hotel in the city centre. Ideal location if visiting Rodney Parade football stadium which is a short walk away. Well furnished rooms."

"In the main all I ask for in a hotel is to be clean and safe. But occasionally I encounter a hotel that deserves praise. We stayed for two nights. The room was large and comfortable. Staff throughout the hotel were efficient and courteous. Breakfast was good, dinner even better. Add complimentary access to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna and the result is amazing value. Thoroughly recommended. "
