"We booked the Double Room, Lake View and the scenery was stunning - a view down the Urnersee toward Flüelen with panorama back to Ingenbohl; at sunrise and sunset with clouds hovering (or a chance rainbow we saw) it was spectacular. The view and quiet were relaxing, sitting on the balcony or in the room. Dinner and breakfast were good, staff were very helpful. We walked to see the sites and bought fresh cheese at the 24-hour self-serve shop 5 minutes away, after enjoying our 2-hour boat ride from Lucerne to reach there. Highly recommended if you value mountain air and scenery."

"Such an incredible place. Enjoyed the spa at the sister hotel which was a beautiful 10 minute walk away. Literally right next to the funicular and a store where you can buy food essentials, souvenirs and hiking gear. The hotel is brand new and is impeccably clean. The restaurant is very good. Everything in Stoos is within walking distance—including the lifts to the tops of the mountain. If you stay here be prepared to love the tranquility and the sound of cowbells. "

"Gorgeous location for the hotel, and clean rooms. Rustic vibe. Extremely pretty view from the windows and good breakfast. Be warned it is a little difficult to carry luggage manually up the steep slope to the hotel. Taxi to help carry everything costs 16 CHF from the station to the hotel."
