"Stayed 2 nights in July 2024. Purpose of the trip was to visit Troy, and Hisarlik Hotel is perfect for that. It's just a short walk from both the ancient site of Troy and (in the opposite direction) the Troy Museum. The owner and his brother were both always eager to answer any questions that we had, and the breakfast that was included was a great start to the day. Expedia should not be listing this “hotel.” We arrived at night with a prepaid and confirmed Expedia reservation in English, only to told by people who arrived in their car that the “hotel” (it looks nothing like the pictures) was full. They then tried to take us to another place with another name. Furthermore, I don’t expect Turkish people to speak English but maybe they shouldn’t post in English on Expedia."
