Harbourview Motel & Accommodations

3.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (149)
"QUIRKY MOM&POP LODGING--CLEAN, COMFY, AND CHEAP: The good: Easy to find and truly has a closeup view of a working harbor, which I found fascinating. Host was friendly and helpful; made me feel at home right away. Immaculate room: clean carpet, pristine bathroom, brand-new spiffy subcompact kitchen, good window blinds, and very quiet at night, no noisy heater/fan (yay!). If you get lucky, a freight train will roar by, just a stone's throw away from your back window, hauling coal down from...

Thriftlodge Cape Breton

2.0 star property
5.2 out of 10, (116)
"This hotel does not deserve it's name. Look at the pictures. The window is held closed by a screw attached to some piece of wood, bed leg and bathroom sink legs are crooked. The toilet flush is in a inconvenient spot to say the least. The carpet is full of stains. There was a cricket under the bread which by the way free breakfast is cereals and toasts only. Do not waste your time, sleep in your car."

Waterfront House near Pomquet Beach- 2 bedrooms, Pet-Friendly

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (6)
"Our group included three young people (ages 18-22) and all of us were incredibly impressed with the lodging itself - a whole charming house - and especially with the location, near the lovely town of Antigonish and very near to a fantastic 4 km long beach (Pomquet Beach) with seals, fir trees, spectacular sunsets, etc. We went in January - not a time in Nova Scotia for the timid - and the house was warm and cozy and the host had the driveway plowed for us as soon as we asked. The house itself...
