"The property near Dolus in D’Oleron is atypical for the area . It is a ranch style with loads of space, and different areas both inside and in the garden to enjoy. We had 12 people in the property for part of our stay and did not feel cramped. Arnaud was very welcoming and helpful. The pool was perfect and the air conditioning useful at times. Altogether a very charming place to stay - we hope to return in future!"

On the description it clearly stated that there was a hot tub with a bath symbol, but there was not a bath or a hot tub at the property. Any issues were addressed by the owner very quickly. "Who stayed: 2 families with young kids We had an amazing time in Sainte Gemme. The house is beautiful, clean and perfectly set up to welcome families. We really enjoyed the pool! We visited the zoo, La Rochelle and local vineyards while there. "

"Great location for family to unwind together with short walk to the beach and wooded area which was great for dog walks. Property was a good size for 8 adults and 2 dogs. Could do with a bit of TLC, few items were broken or unserviceable, ie sunlounges, pool table (warped), radiator not working. Lighting was hard to read by, but cosy. Not as clean as we would expect, Sheets had a stain on one bed and parts of the garden required attention. A warning about mosquitos would be useful, not sure if...

"Sabrina’s villa was truly fantastic! We stay in villas every year in France and this was the best by far! The outside space was beautiful and my mum is disabled but the accommodation made her feel confident and comfortable. Despite language barriers Sabrina was very helpful and made us feel very welcome!! We will definitely visit again....great property, good location, lovely owner! Thank you Sabrina xx"

"The hob didn’t work the lights outside around the table were not working, the pool was not maintained and we were not able to swim in it . As a consequence of the cooker not working I had to pay for six of us to eat put all the time! And the food I bought from the supermarket to cook went off !! My daughter is visually impaired and fell down the steps because the lights were not working!! I contacted the manager on 10 different occasions and she did not get back to me .
