"Just so different staying in a jail with so much history."

"Fantastic location, nice staff. Breakfast was superb. Spa could do with some chairs or something to sit down only had 2 but had towels all over them. Bed was two singles pushed together so could feel something hard in the middle wasn’t happy about that for the price I payed. Overall good. "

"Loved the property, it’s a beautiful building, the staff were amazing.we were upgraded to a sea view (thank you) the room was huge, very very comfortable, the only mark down was the size of the bathroom. It was tiny, although perfectly serviceable. We walked from the hotel straight onto the SW coastal path and walked to Boscastle- a fabulous walk."

"It was fabulous. Room clean. Food at bar and restaurant very tasty. Great spa and pool included. I only gave it good and not excellent due to the shower. It was Luke warm not hot. We complained and it was supposed to be fixed during the day. However night 2 and shower was still luke warm. The shower was lovely but There was definitely a problem with thermostat. "

"Lovely property modern and clean, great location for Padstow, Wadebridge or Polzeath. Food was ok but could be better, we ordered 4 pizzas and 2 had a burnt base, 1 was completely ruined. "

"Very nice room with an unexpected and wonderful upgrade. Food options require more attention with cut and quality of meats. Very helpful staff once dinner had been refunded. Overall a relaxing night enjoyed. Lord T Taylor "
