"Lovely fresh clean hotel, staff very attentive."

"  We stayed at The Port William Friday and Saturday night in January.  We choose this place due to its location to the coast and its positioning right at the side of Trebarwith Beach and the promise of a sea view and relaxing atmosphere.  We were not disappointed! This is a lovely spot right on the SW Coast Path and only a few miles walk into Tintagel. The rooms were small but cosy and more than adequate for our stay.  There is a small fridge stocked with items from the bar and nibbles - crisps, nuts (payable on checkout), kettle, nespresso machine, milk, sugar and gorgeous Furniss biscuits.  There is a TV but we were happier watching the view of the ocean from our room window.  The breakfasts were included in our booking - there is a basic continental breakfast - bread for toast, croissant, pain au choclat, cereals, yogurt and a selection of juices or you can pay for a cooked breakfast.  We dined here on an evening and the service from all members of the team was excellent.  We would love to come and stay here again as we had such a relaxing time where the staff obviously take pride in what they do to make your stay enjoyable "

"Booked to meet a friend at short notice. The staff were charming and very friendly. The room was extremely clean warm and comfortable. I think we will be making a habit of staying at the Jamaica Inn as it’s equal distance between Great Torrington and Falmouth where we each live and it enables us to meet up more often with our very busy working schedules. Thank you for an enjoyable stay."

"Ignore the negative reviews the hotel was excellent. We arrived to find ample parking and the positioning of the hotel was perfect with a walkway right into the harbour area. The hotel looks like it has had a fairly recent upgrade and was in good condition. We had a nice room with a king size bed and view over the harbour area. Plus the room had a minibar and tea and coffee facilities. Had dinner in the Jetty restaurant the first night which was good washed down by a nice Sicilian Pinot Grigio. Had breakfast in the room on the first morning which arrived exactly on time and was exactly as ordered. The second day we had breakfast in the restaurant which had a free continental breakfast which offered ample choice but for an extra £10 we upgraded to a full English which was freshly cooked. The staff were all very friendly and helpful which enhanced our stay. Overall a nice two day break and if returning to Padstow would definitely stay at the hotel again."

"Spent an enjoyable night with my husband at the Mill House Inn. Dinner and breakfast were good. However this is an old property and the drawbacks are that there is no soundproofing and our room’s floor was not flat."
