"Sadly the pool was is need of substantial repair. The cracked slabs and crumbling cement around the pool was dangerous for bare feet and attracted wasps to nest. Not ideal for young children and babies. There was a constant bad smell in the kitchen due to drainage problems in the area of the sink. The setting is idyllic and very peaceful in amongst the forest but we got bitten alive with all the woodland mosquitoes."

We most enjoyed the privacy of the main pool which overlooks luscious countryside bustling with life and the stunning western sunsets in the cool sky. Sonia and Mark are consumate well experienced hosts who always try to accommodate any requests where possible. We highly recommend this if you wish for an up market break in a beautiful countryside location near all the Beautiful...

"Montcuq is such a pretty place and this is a lovely house to stay in. The house is just a few minutes walk to a fantastic boulangerie and you can wander to restaurants and cafes and watch the world go by, all without having to drive. The house is spacious and nicely decorated, with everything you can think of for a great stay. It has a massive garden and outbuildings, so perfedt for a family. We will return, but with the whole family, as there's so many areas to relax in. A real find."

"An old style house in need of a refurbishment or at least a very good clean. Agent late so had to wait outside being bitten by mosquitos. House smelt old. We could not open the windows without the stink bugs coming in. Complete list of contents, but no instructions for how to turn on the oven. "Belle maison très bien équipée et confortable malgré une déco un peu vieillotte. Cadre magnifique, endroit idéal pour se détendre et profiter de la nature environnante. La piscine très propre permet de se rafraichir en admirant le paysage tout autour. Idéal pour se ressourcer. Petits commerces de qualité à quelques kilomètres et de nombreuses ballades possibles. Excellent accueil par des propriétaires très sympathiques. "

"La région est superbe et nous avons fait beaucoup de marche et de visites. Nous avons apprécié le gîte et l'accueil du propriétaire. Les T° ne nous ont pas permis de profiter de la piscine mais il y a tant à faire que ce n'est pas grave! Le gîte contient tous les équipements nécéssaires et est fidèle à la description. "
