"The hotel is a beautiful property but certainly it’s showing its age as even the room key is truly a room key and not a key card. I guess it’s just the nostalgia of an older hotel. There is also very limited dining in surrounding area but the restaurant in the hotel is great. Due its location, there is little to sometimes no uber or taxi available hence it can be pricey getting a car via the concierge. The view of the lake and the mountains beyond made the hot trek up the hill from Lenno worth it (and equally walking down the hill to Lenno brought us quickly to a lovely waterfront setting). "Overall our stay was great, the apartment was very nice with a lovely balcony and view of the lake, and we enjoyed cooling off in the pool. The location was convenient, using the path down to the ferry stop - we got our exercise on the return climb! Note like many places in Europe there is no AC, so we had fans running nonstop. Also there are no window screens, and unfortunately there were mosquitoes. We had to buy more toilet paper and dish soap during our stay. Matteo was easy to communicate...
