"This was my first trip to Venice and the Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo was a great location for us to explore Venice from. Like most structures in Venice this obviously is an older building, but it is very well maintained and updated. They also had a very good full breakfast buffet included with the room. My only complaint was there was no hot water on our first morning, but they fixed that as soon as we notified them."

"This property was not what we expected but really grew to enjoy it. We’d had a few travel issues and had finally figured things out! The hotel is from the 1800’s and since the 1950’s it was bought and run by a family. Front desk staff was awesome, shout out to Alberto for being the jack of all trades! Everyone associated with the facility was very friendly and welcoming and we so enjoyed staying there that we wished we had booked more than one night! It was just a short drive to the train station and an easy trip into Venice. There were a large selection of items for breakfast and we could place an order for eggs or omelets."
