"A smallish unit with a quaint system of access to some amenities. Liz, the hostess, goes out of her way to provide everything and ensure comfort. We liked the homely, non clinical atmosphere. No smell of commercial cleaners, everything spotlessly clean, nevertheless. We were very comfortable with the rather informal and basic amenities. The bathroom is apparently quite new and very flash! Trying to work through BookaBach is just a pain; we could not contact Liz until AFTER we had booked! "

"Quiet and very safe location. Excellent communication. I enjoyed my stay at The Smithy, a homely and very relaxing place to stay. The location is just a short walk to the village where there are some good options for breakfasts. I was given a bag of feijoas on leaving, a real treat, thanks to Alison. Very happy to recommend the Smithy to others. "

"Nice location short walk to the Estuary and quiet street.We could also take our wee dog.Lucky for us the house upstairs was empty so no banging through the ceiling but unfortunately our stay was not quiet….the house close behind was building and huge trucks were coming an going non stop and using the beach house land for all the vehicles (though plenty of room for our car) nobody’s fault the neighbours were lovelyJust doing major renovations before selling their property."
