"Tortuga lodge was incredible if you like seeing Iguanas walking around, howler monkeys in the trees sharing their breakfast with their babies, and Toucans and Macaws flying overhead. Zulay at reception was fantastic! She always had a smile on her face and was so incredibly helpful while solving some problems for us. Enrique and all of the wait/bar/restaurant staff were thoughtful enough to remember our names.Amazing service and amazing resort. We highly recommend the night tour on the property if you like creepy crawly critters. Just an amazing experience for our family."

"Such a beautiful place in the middle of nature. I loved their pool and food was amazing (we got the “full board” option for all of our meals paid for and it was definitely worth it, buffet style, delicious). Staff were incredible, kind and always helpful! Clean rooms - with all you need. Since you are in the middle of the forest, you get awaken by howler monkeys and birds, which I loved - being right inside the forest. Fan helped keep it nice and fresh at night, exactly what we needed! Perfecto location for us … in front of the town, 5 min by boat! Very private, and yet close to town! I would definitely stay here again!! Thank you! "

"Our stay at The Caribbean Paradise lodge was very pleasant, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The grounds are very clean , lots of wildlife you can hear and see. It is 10 minutes away from Tortuguero village by taxi boat, but the staff is always ready to help with that. There is no AC but the fan in the room was sufficient and we had comfortable nights and slept well enjoying the sounds of nature . The breakfast was included and is an open buffet, you can arrange to buy lunch and dinner which are made on the property . We would love to go again . "

Understand you are definitely going into a remote area and don’t expect more and you’ll be amazed at the rich culture and beautiful nature "
