my go to for toronto. quality to price is always good. next to food basics, mcdonalds and the ttc. wouldnt necessarily say this is yorkville based on the location so just be mindful that this is technically yorkville, but not the yorkville you might be thinking of. still, convenient spot and close to alot of things.

Pros: Quiet room with a city view. Either construction and soundproofing is elite, or the top floor simply did not have many patrons during our stay, but it was excellently quiet. Valet parking was a great option in the winter cold a bit steep at $55 plus tips 2-3x daily but worth it. Location is ideal based on where we were visiting. Breakfast in the resto was enjoyable. Cons: The sheets on one of our beds had some set in stains on them. Locating the hotel lobby was a task. The staff that was at the other side of the building where we mistakenly entered was however very kind and professional. He helped redirect us to drive around to the back on the night we checked in). Front desk staff was a pretty monotone for such a lovely hotel. Further, on day 2 when we asked to extend our stay we were redirected to use Expedia for a "better rate since those sites are cheaper than in person booking" but it factually was not. We paid the full price, and wish we'd been granted the service of booking there in person when we came down to reception to do just that. Valet was overall great - minus the mixup on the last day where there was a delay as the attendant the previous night had apparently mixed up the tags & vehicles so we waited a while with other patrons as they had to sort it out. We are returning to Toronto next month - we will be staying elsewhere for that week long trip however we are keeping Canopy on our list of favourites for the reasons we mentioned in our "pros".

The staff was outstanding and made our stay unforgettable and truly special. Everything felt personalized, and as it was our first time in Toronto, they ensured we felt completely at ease. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciated the care they put into making our stay so comfortable. While the water filter wasn’t working, I later learned that if I had asked, they would have happily provided us with water. Overall, it was an amazing stay, and we truly wish we had more time to enjoy it. Next time, we’d love to stay longer and maybe book a room with a balcony and an amazing view of the city. Thank you to the incredible team for making our visit so memorable!
