"Fantastic from start to finish. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was wonderful, clean, spacious with all you could need. Lounge area, restaurant, spa area etc was all spotless and modern. Plenty of parking. Food was excellent, fantastic breakfast with great selection, however, the evening meal was very pricey for myself and the menu was limited, it was confusing as to what price the meals were as some had supplements on top and if you were not there on a package deal break the menu cost more. I had to query a cost for a meal we had at the end of our stay as we had been overcharged or misinformed of the cost of the meal, we assumed it would cost what we read in the menu. The food was however excellent and understandably the price was higher than a normal menu as it was of a very high professional standard, It felt like we were eating somewhere very high end like The Shard. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back in the future. Also to add I had an incredible spa treatment with the lovely Stella. "

"We had a beautiful room with a beautiful view. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel at home. The hotel turned our trip away into a great trip away and we will certainly book again next time we go to Torquay."

"The biggest plus about this property is the staff: they were wonderful, both at check-in and at check-out. The lobby area is large and inviting, and well-lit. Rather than having on-site parking, the property chose to turn the hotel forecourt into outdoor seating with picnic tables. While sitting outside might be nice in the wamer summer months, not having on-site parking is a negative: the hotel sits on a residential street, so street parking nearby is at a premium. The bedroom corridor and bedroom itself immediately brought to mind a hotel I stayed at in Cornwall in the 1970s. Both were clean and properly maintained, but a renovation would not go amiss: the wall paper was very 1970s! The bed was comfortable as were the pillows, and the comforter was great: I slept like a baby! The bathroom, however, was minute, and that is not an exaggeration. It was a squeeze to get into the shower, and as a 6'1", 250 lb woman, there was barely room in the shower stall to get washed. Given the size of room overall, there would have been plenty of room to increase the size of the bathroom without taking away any of the spaciousness of the bedroom. Overall, this hotel served its purpose as a low-budget, affordable overnight stay, and I would certainly choose to stay here again."

"Had to get away for a few days due to some renovations at home so decided on torquay, was going to look at the Travelodge or premier inn but hotels.com recommend this one, good price and free breakfast what could go wrong? NOTHING, it was an absolutely fantastic stay and thank you to all the staff, professional, welcoming and helpful. I feel totally refreshed. "
