"This place was a pigsty both inside and outside. There is broken furniture and crap everywhere. The kitchen benchtops were all cut and damaged. It was more a mens hostel than a backpackers. The room I was given was dirty, and the toilet had been used. There were hairs in the sink and ants crawling on me in my bed. There was no blanket. I had to use the second bath towel for warmth. "The room was clean and everything worked it looks like resort has had a paint job since our last visit. After staying at another resort recently it was refreshing to not be charged for pool towels and mini golf and golden hour cocktails with live music around the pool really creates a great atmosphere. "I had never been to Golden Beach before and I totally loved it. It was peaceful and the hotel was perfectly located across from the beach. The hotel room was excellent with superb views, nice swimming pool and good carparking. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to visit the area. "
