"The facility and accommodations are fine. Our experience with check in was rough. We were given info that check in time was 2pm so we arrived at that time. The girl behind the desk told me it was actually 3pm. Understandable but how I was told and it was handled was not good. "Bed was comfortable. Fist-sized hole through bathroom door (I was made aware of this before accepting the room). I crashed through the desk chair the first time I sat down on it (it was replaced with a nice chair in an expedient manner). The main light above the vanity did not work at all. "The owner was was very kind, friendly, and accommodating and had a cute gift shop. She also made a wonderful breakfast that started out with a baked apple! The yard and house were decorated very nicely for the holidays, complete with music to add to the ambiance. The room had everything we needed and included an amazing copper bath tub that was wonderful to soak in. Overall it was a great place to sleep and relax with much more character than a hotel room could ever have. "

"We had a wonderful stay while the autumn colors were ablaze all around us. The roads winding through the hills and around all the lakes were just beautiful. The guesthouse had everything we needed for a cozy, peaceful, restful retreat. Check out the Interpretive Center at the Chippewa Morraine Ice Age Unit and do some hiking along the Ice Age Trail.
