"Discussion avec la propriétaire à notre arrivée. Une machine à café Dolce Gusto était prévue dans le descriptif et il n'y en avait pas. J'ai contacté la proprio qui habite à 350 Kms de la location pour m'entendre dire que l'ancienne machine est tombée en panne mais qu'elle en a une chez elle mais qu'elle ne va pas parcourir 350 Kms pour me l'apporter. Je lui propose d'aller en acheter une et qu'elle me remboursera. Plus d'une demi heure de discussion avant qu'elle ne m'autorise à m'en ^procurer...

"The property near Dolus in D’Oleron is atypical for the area . It is a ranch style with loads of space, and different areas both inside and in the garden to enjoy. We had 12 people in the property for part of our stay and did not feel cramped. Arnaud was very welcoming and helpful. The pool was perfect and the air conditioning useful at times. Altogether a very charming place to stay - we hope to return in future!"

"Villa Roccia is great. Beach just across the road was fabulous for late evening walks…but the pool and hot tub area was the star of the holiday. The village has a couple of grocery shops with a wonderful boulangerie too. Everyone was friendly, especially the host, Carine. Wonderful holiday. Long drive from uk but French roads and drivers are so much calmer than uk, so it was stress free from Calais."

"The hob didn’t work the lights outside around the table were not working, the pool was not maintained and we were not able to swim in it . As a consequence of the cooker not working I had to pay for six of us to eat put all the time! And the food I bought from the supermarket to cook went off !! My daughter is visually impaired and fell down the steps because the lights were not working!! I contacted the manager on 10 different occasions and she did not get back to me . Please give me immediate...

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette magnifique maison. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine avec tout le confort de la maison. La plage de St Froult est à proximité de la maison idéal pour les châteaux de sable. Pour des vacances reposantes et en toute tranquillité cette maison est idéale. Les hôtes sont très agréables. "Schönes Haus mit kleinen Mängeln. Fenster und Innentüren ließen sich nur sehr schwierig öffnen/schließen. Lt. Beschreibung wurden zwei Häuser auf dem Grundstück gemietet und natürlich auch bezahlt. Bei Ankunft mussten wir dann erfahren, dass uns das zweite Haus nicht zur Verfügung steht. Der von uns angesprochene Preisnachlass erfolgte - natürlich - nicht. Schade. "

"Amazing house with big grounds, pool, hot tub. The property was spotless on arrival and we had a thorough tour from the pleasant owner. Kitchen had everything we needed, communal living area was spacious, big TV. Beds were made up and comfortable. Pool is heated and deep - it stayed warm and crystal clear for the whole week. The small town is a short walk for fresh bread every morning, and there was plenty to do in the area (when we could drag ourselves away from the pool). Excellent all round."

"We had a lovely stay here. The reception staff were really welcoming and helpful. I was a bit surprised because the room picture was of twin beds with space between, but it was made up as a double. I was travelling with my son, so ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which was easy to pull out, had a bottom sheet already on and additional pillows etc were in the cupboard. The wall cupboards weee tricky for me, as I’m only 5’1” tall!! Fortunately my son is 6’ tall and was willing to reach things...
