"We had a week here in September (10-17th) and loved every minute. We saw otters from the shore one day and did walks in every direction from the house. The weather treated us quite kindly and we managed to be outdoors for a good part of each day without getting (too!) wet. The house was so comfortable and well set up it was always a pleasure to return to. We slept so well too…all the fresh air and a super comfy bed. A great location for exploring Skye and the Glenelg area too."

"On arrival we were blown away by that amazing window and the view it gives from the upstairs bedroom, a brilliant idea and for mountain lovers like us helps provide that much needed relaxation from our hectic working lives. The kitchen area is first class, providing everything needed, the perfect place to unwind and to use as a base for exploring new spots and revisiting old favourites. I dont want to be critical as the cottage was what we needed but not quite perfect, a few basic things were...

"I picked this place due to it being a good distance from all the places I aimed to visit. Just over an hour to Skye, Mallaig etc and less to Fort William and Glencoe. I was aware that there's not many shops nearby but I was well prepared. The place is spacious for a 1 or 2 person stay but possibly a bit tight for 4. Great parking close to accommodation. There were a few faults that shouldn't take long to fix. Catching front door. Internal doors that don't all stay shut, kitchen cupboard...

"We loved the relaxing lovely setting. The ability to hang out and have time with friends in a nice home and places to walk about was wonderful. We did find it challenging to shower daily with 4 adults when the only shower was in a bathroom off a private bedroom. It would be helpful to put a shower in the downstairs bathroom for all to use. Even if it is just a modified faucet with a hanging shower hose. Thank you for letting us stay in such a wonderful spot."

"The property was excellent. The property had everything we could need. It was clean and comfortable. It was in a very good location. It was very close to the canal, locks and Loch Ness. Bars, restaurants and other amenities were very close by. Parking was easy. It was easy to find. The property was in a good spot to go sightseeing further afield."
