"Log home was equipped with all we needed for our stay. William and Rhonda were friendly and helpful. It was a cold and drizzly August so we appreciated the underfloor heating and even lit the ready laid log fire on one evening. The downstairs bathroom and bedroom are ideal for a less mobile person. Easy access to Inverness but still in quiet country area.Thank you."

"Staff and ownership were completely gracious and outgoing. Grounds were kept well except for a grass clippings pile along their river walk. The rooms and communal rooms were all very clean and historic. I would totally recommend this for a countryside stay."

"This is a truly impressive house. The short title of the listing is absolutely correct; it is a stunning location. You are practically in your own forest with a Loch just a minute's walk. There are lots of walks around the house, and it is completely peaceful. There is an abundance of wildlife in the garden, including pheasants, Red Squirrels and hundreds of birds. We also saw the odd deer and a couple of sheep (although the owner encouraged the latter to return to their field!). The house is an ideal base for the highlands. Inverness is 20-minutes away, which gives you access to Loch Ness and the Black Isle. You also have easy access to Speyside and the Cairngorms. There is so much to see around here. The house has everything you can possibly need. It is immaculate inside and Jon was incredibly friendly, making sure everything was fine for us. We will return to this house. We had an amazing time. It is a place that would be ideal to relax, but similarly is a base to do lots of exploring and then relax in the evening, watching the clouds go by and the colours changing as the sun sets."

"We had to book this hotel at the last minute and they were ready and waiting for us. Checkin was easy. The rooms we were allocated were reasonable, clean and well kept. Bathroom had a shower but no bath. We dined in the hotel which was fine. Service and meals were excellent. The hotel is a stopping place for bus tours but bus tour parties are segregated from paying guests so there was no problem there. The location is quiet. Sleep quality very good. About 30 minutes drive from Inverness but that was not a problem. Recommended."
