I’m from the coast so I knew my way around town but it was good to see that they had a info folder in the room full of information on things you can do in the township and also had a list of local restaurants/food recommendations a lot of other useful information. Over the past couple of years I have noticed that alot of other motels no longer provide these but I find them very useful...

"Really Dirty! broken doors (got locked in toilet twice), broken blinds with no curtains so light flows on through, extremely hot, no aircon is fine but put in a fan or even window stays as we couldnt open a window to try cool down. Could say alot more about our room but wont. The room next door appeared alot cleaner so perhaps its being renovated. Wouldnt stay again."

"We had an upstairs room looking out over the bay. It is a strange arrangement with the bathroom room and small galley kitchen between the living room and bedroom and accessible from both. However it works just fine. The person on reception was very friendly and helpful. The motel is right on the beach and boardwalk and a 10 minute walk into town. Thoroughly recomment if staying in Gisborne."
