"A different vibe from the moment you step foot inside. Attentive and caring staff address all of your needs as you relax back into the groovy atmosphere. A very clean and well kept (and decorated) building. We had several meal at Roar, the on site restaurant and were never left wanting. Buttery soft pork belly or braised ribs that you will dream about for days. Our room was perfect with a comfortable king mattress, tasteful felt wallpaper, a big storage bench along the window, and a large bathtub with ample room for two. A memorable experience. "

"A great experience staying at Middle Beach, the Headlands was a nice change from the Main Lodge. The 6 plex room had a small kitchenette, huge tub, separate bedroom and deck chairs outside to take in the view. A great storm watching place and extra special when the sun appears!"

"We booked two float homes for a group of 7 people: 1 grandma, two parents, 21yo daughter and fiancé, and 17 and 13 year olds plus two dogs. Adults in the yellow house, kids in the green. What a great time we had, just us, the ocean, the other float home guests who were friendly, and the birds and seals. These places are rustic but so lovely. They have everything you need and the owners are so responsive. We couldn’t figure out the pilot light in a fireplace and they were down working it in minutes. We got quick rides into and back from the Tofino dock from Pearl and family. Bonus points in the off season because parking is free in Tofino October to April!"

"We booked two float homes and loved every minute. Pearl was easy to communicate with and quick to answer questions. This was a rustic relaxing vacation. The float homes didn’t rock as crazy as I would have liked because Strawberry Island is on the inlet side of the ocean but they certainly rocked gently here and there. Cooking and heat are via propane but the houses have electricity and city water which tasted divine right out of the tap! The properties are dog friendly but don’t stink at all. The linens were all clean and plentiful to keep everyone warm. Pearl is quick to pick you up from mainland Tofino and bring you back when you text. The yellow float home is a single room open concept style with two twin beds and a double bunk beds and the green float home was a two level 3 bedroom which offered plenty of peace and quiet. The adults took the yellow house and we gave the kids the green house and it was fun to be in our own spaces overnight but spends the days together. If you’re ready to slow down and enjoy the ocean, stay here. "
