"Fabulous value for the size of room.We have stayed here many times when visiting family in Retford. Our room this time was a little disappointing compared to all the other rooms we stayed in.The bed was a double but we only had a single wardrobe and 5 hangers.Usually there is ample wardrobe space and a seating area.I will definitely return but will ask for the rooms we've had on previous visits. It is a very comfortable place to stsy and handy for walking into town."

"Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. Lovely bedroom decoration, nicely fitted out bathroom with a decent sized bath and rainfall...

"This large and very well presented B&B property is ideally situated to visit nearby Hardwick Hall and is just off the motorway. In a safe, rural location, it is purpose built and has plenty of safe easy parking. Our room was spacious well appointed, albeit somewhat functional and lacking decorative touches. The walls are very thin, so our loud neighbour kept us awake most of the night. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate."

"Fantastic location, short drive into the Peak District & close to the shops, Ecclesall Park & University. The property was immaculately decorated & felt like a home from home."

"The room was clean and comfortable. Yea and coffee provided. Plenty of space to get ready. Bed was comfortable. We had been out drinking and was a late night the morning after I asked if we could extend our check out time the request was accepted at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone."

"A fantastic find for our needs. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Central to the city. Great value for money. We had a great room. However a few things to make it better : 1- the oven/microwave didn’t work even after trying a few times. It needs a master in engineering to make it work. Maybe stick with 2 separate items. 2- Not ideal for light sleepers. Can sadly hear a lot through the walls. 3- although the apartment was clean. I am not too sure the hoover was done. "This was a great stop over, I can’t thank the staff enough, they were so lovely and helpful. The twin room was clean and adequately furnished with tea/coffee facilities. They kindly stored our bags for free before we were able to check in and again all day after we checked out. The breakfast was fabulous, cooked and continental, lots to choose from and the cooked food was nice and hot. Definitely recommend "

Great Hotel in a Brilliant Location

"Great stay at this excellently located hotel in Sheffield city centre. Only 10 minutes walk from the train station. Upgraded to a junior suite, which was spacious, had great views and a lovely shower and separate bath in the bathroom. Good breakfast whichwas buffet style, with everything from ceral and fruit, to a full english with danish pastries if you are not too full. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The spa facilities were also excellent."

Luxury standards at budget price

"This is a really comfortable hotel with great facilities at a great value price that includes a delicious breakfast. Staff are all friendly, helpful and efficient. They are happy to store luggage for you when you check out. Breakfast service is extremely good with everything kept stocked up and tables cleared and cleaned instantly. Provided toiletries are comprehensive and of a very good standard. Pillows are lovely and fluffy. Would definitely return here again."
