"We only stayed one night. Check-in was simple and easy, The staff were all very friendly. The property is gorgeous and unique. Weather was really rainy and wet, so we didn't get to explore too much around the outside of the property. Our room was exactly as described and quiet, however, the walls are somewhat thin and you can hear other guests but not in a horrible way. It's more like a comfortable home rather than a hotel. The dining room was lovely, dinner was nice and the included breakfast was delicious. Delicious! It's a really neat area and we left the next morning to go straight to the volcano so everything was convenient and scenic."

"It was amazing. It was serene. Really a place to be still and quiet as there’s no tv. A place to talk and relax more. The receptionist and everyone you came across was very nice. Offered recommendation for eateries. highly recommend if you’re looking to unwind and connect with nature. "

"This is a unique place of natural wonders and that makes it difficult to review or compare to other accommodations. This is not your regular hotel with a/c, maid service, restaurant and bar. No, this is a cabin with resident gecko and without a/c. If you eat on site, the meals are cafeteria style, good and hearty. In return, you wake to the sound of Howler Monkeys, toucans and macaws. You walk from your cabin into the forest and you are immersed in the natural world. We love this place. It was our second visit and we will return."

"The property is located in a busy area of town, which makes it convenient to explore and has many local dining options. It also adjoins unspoiled land where we were able to see and hear many wild animals from our room. The hotel is a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Our bathroom door would drag on the floor and get stuck. And we noticed a few outside doors of other rooms with large gaps in the framing, which let bugs and heat in the room. The ac gets wonderfully cold, and the balcony is spacious with chairs and a table. All of the staff is accomdating and friendly. They were even willing to help us place a food order for delivery to the hotel despite having their own restaurant. Breakfast is included and gives 6 options to choose from, which is nice since it is green season and not busy enough to offer the buffet. The only things I did not care for about the accommodation is the noisy creaking wood flooring in the room which makes it impossible to not disturb your companion, no mini fridge to keep cold water or beverages, and despite having a coffee maker in the room, they only provide 2 pods for your entire stay (there were 2 of us staying 3 nights) so you had to go to the restaurant for your morning coffee. When we asked about additional pods, we were told we would have to pay extra, and housekeeping doesn't replenish them when servicing your room. Overall, a nice and comfortable property for a short stay."

"We had a great stay at La Quinta. The rooms were clean, and the food was good. The best part though was the grounds. At night we walked in the rain and searched for tree frogs, and we saw so many of them."

"Amazing place to stay for seeing birds and wildlife. I’d highly recommend the guided nature walk or guided bird watching. The rooms and grounds are beautifully kept, as well. "

"This was a wonderful first stop on our vacation as is it was midway betweeen San Jose and La Fortuna. We stayed in the family villa for 2 nights and found it to be spacious with beautifully landscaped grounds. The local waterfalls were easily accessible and we could walk to local restaurants. It was a highlight of our trip!"
