Casa Maja (beautiful house) is a fantastic home for those wanting a little more from their holiday accommodation.

A large fully equipped kitchen/dining room, spacious living room, three en-suite bedrooms and all the amenities you could ask for including fast, fibre internet over the whole villa and surrounding terraces and a TV system with all channels – yes, all channels – you can be assured of a comfortable stay.

The upstairs bedroom terrace has sea views and looks down onto the kitchen/outside dining patio with stone table and seating for al-fresco dining, the gardens and the swimming pool area with space for everyone to take full advantage.

The swimming pool is 8m X 4m, has in-pool steps rather than a ladder and is electrically heated so an inviting temperature is always maintained.

All furnishings, inside and out, are of a high standard. The living room seats everyone on its three sofas with room to spare and all beds have memory foam mattresses. The duvets are feather and down and come in summer or winter thicknesses; non- allergenic ones can be supplied on request.

As well as the sun loungers by the pool there are rattan style chairs, sofa and a coffee table and other seating arrangements around the garden; all seating is supplied with cushions where appropriate whilst shade is provided by parasols. The whole villa, gardens, terraces and pool are private and not overlooked and provides different areas in which to enjoy your holiday.

Normal check in time is 15.00 and check out 10.00 which gives us time to thoroughly clean the property although depending on arrivals and departures you may be able to enter the villa early or depart late at no extra cost.

A private oasis of calm.
Without doubt the nicest and cleanest villa we've stayed in with the most thoughtful of owners. From the first point of contact before our holiday the owner Mike answered any questions we had promptly and provided us with detailed directions to get to the villa. Mike and Wendy went above and beyond anything we've experienced from a host before. They provided a beautiful welcome meal, well equipped welcome package and even a card and present for our daughter who's birthday it was whilst we were there. The villa is set in a quiet residential area but is only a 10 minutes drive to Puerto del Carmen where you'll be spoilt for great places to eat out . The villa has been extremly well thought out with vaulted ceilings in the lounge and master bedroom with a private balcony offering sea views. The whole villa is well equiped with every conceivable item you would need to make it a home from home. Outside doesn’t disappoint either with a beautiful pool area which is completely private and has loads of room to relax and chill. In conclusion this is the best villa we have ever stayed at and fantastic value for money.

Relaxing family break
We were looking for a villa that was private and peaceful, however close enough to good restaurants. We have visited the island several times and so had little interest in the usual tourist attractions and planned to spend each day enjoying the sunshine by the pool. For us, the villa was perfect. The added bonus were the many TV channels available and Netflix, to entertain our 14 year old son, once he had too much sun. Mike and Wendy were excellent hosts, who were great from the moment we booked. Their recommendations of local areas and restaurants was extremely helpful to which we made great use of, visiting both the marina at Puerto Calero and Costa Teguise. The villa left us wanting for nothing, with Mike and Wendy always available, if required. Will definitely look to stay again soon. Andy

Relaxing
Lovely well equipped villa. Mike and Wendy live next door and were both extremely helpful and very attentive, always on hand making sure both the pool and villa were clean and answering a questions we had. We made good use of the pool during the hot days. Air conditioning is available at an additional cost, however, we found simply leaving the doors open to the main bedroom was suffice. No mosquitoes either ! The villa is situated 10 minutes drive from PDC - 12€ in a taxi. We spent most nights at PDC enjoying the many bars an numerous restaurants - all tastes and budgets catered for. Well worth a visit to the White Lion Pub, cheap and cheerful, with two cocktails just 7€. A very enjoyable holiday spent with our 15 year son.

Hosts, Mike and Wendy, met us on arrival and supplied a meal even though it was a delayed flight and provided essentials to start us off. The villa lived up to expectations with all home comforts. Nothing was too much trouble. It was very comfortable and spacious and the pool was the icing on the cake. We were a party of 6 with 3 generations and all had a great holiday. Mike and Wendy were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend this villa.

You simply can’t get better !
The photos and description doesn’t do this place justice. It’s simply amazing ! From start to finish Mike and Wendy make your booking process so simple and easy, any queries, any questions and Mike will get back to you ASAP, they even book a hire car for you if you want one which I would recommend and it’s with a good reliable company. The Villa is about 10 to 15 minutes away from the airport and Mike emails you a perfect description of how to get to the Villa with photos as if you’re driving up the road with the signs. The villa itself is immaculate with everything you could possibly need or want for your entire stay. The pool is beautiful, it’s heated so you can stay in there 24 hours a day which my granddaughter tried to get me to on numerous occasions… Mike and Wendy live next door, which might put some people off, but please don’t let that happen. They are fantastically warm and welcoming people and on arrival meet you and give you tour of the Villa show you how everything works and then leave you to enjoy yourselves… Oh and there’s a lovely welcoming hamper so you can relax and chill out and not have to rush off to the shops… The Villa is in a lovely quiet area and not overlooked by anyone so it’s perfectly peaceful yet your within 3-4 minutes drive from the HyperDino a very well stocked supermarket, a chemist and a few lovely quiet taverns. 15 minutes away is for me the best resort area in the island

Highly recommended!
Ideal villa, can highly recommend. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Lovely warm pool, and plenty of outside space and seating - you can always find a spot in the sun. Welcome was exceptional with a pan of spaghetti bolognase and wine waiting our evening arrival, even accomodated our vegetarian with a tasty lasagna. Tias is well placed in the centre of the island. Peaceful spot but everything you need is close by. Wendy and Mike attentive. Perfect!

Brilliant villa for a relaxing holiday
We only have good things to say about our stay at Casa Maja. Mike was great at getting in touch after we made our booking and even arranged car hire hire for us. The villa was easy to find and check-in was super straightforward. Wendy had also arranged a very tasty welcome platter for us, which was much appreciated when we arrived, as we didn't have to worry about rushing off to find something for lunch for a very hungry 6 year old! The villa was lovely and clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly have needed. The pool was just perfect, we spent most our time in it and our son has pretty much now learned to swim during the 10 days we were there! The area was nice and quiet which was just what we were after, but shops were only a 5 min drive away and the beach about 10 mins or so. We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Maja, Mike and Wendy were the perfect hosts. We hope to return next year!

Excellent hosts who were very thoughtful with a lovely welcoming gift and always on hand if required. Good rooms and pool. Well equipped throughout with towels for rooms and pool, well stocked kitchen, internet tv, games, books and pool toys. Mike also helped arrange hire car which was very helpful. Outstanding! The location is ideal being a quiet residential area in Tias, yet very easy to access the whole of the island by car.. Perfect Stay
Just back from an amazing holiday. Mike and Wendy are perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They even provided us with a hot meal as we arrived late in the evening. The villa has everything that you need. We especially loved the heated pool, which is very private. There are loads of different seating areas which means you can be either in the sun or shade or just away from any breeze. We sat in them all.

A Home From Home
My partner and I stayed for 10 days and it was everything we wanted and more for a relaxing holiday. The villa was peaceful, homely and clean, local shops and beaches are only a short car ride away, and Wendy and Mike were perfect hosts - so welcoming and helpful. We didn’t rent a car, but the taxi service there was friendly and quick. We highly recommend staying here, and are already planning a trip back next year!

Already Booked Again!
Firstly, we would like to thank Mike and Wendy for allowing us to stay at their beautiful villa. This is the first time we have booked anything other than a package holiday and I can honestly say we would always book this way again. Mike provided clear instructions with photos for getting to the villa from the airport, a 5-minute journey. There are also plenty of taxis available outside the airport. On arrival, there was a lovely basket of essentials, fruit, water, wine, and a cheese and ham platter. The villa had everything you could have wanted to enjoy your first day without having to pop to the hypermarket. The villa has many home basics, washing machine, dishwasher, BBQ and cooker and also some we didn’t expect, two coffee machines, smart TV, fast internet and several fans, it honestly felt like home during our two weeks stay. Mike and Wendy were extremely accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. They supplied us with an extra bed to enable our son to sleep on. They rearranged the room to allow plenty of room for the children to have extra space including the extra bed. The pool was loved by all. In the cupboard, they proved extra bits and bobs for the children to enjoy playing within the pool. The towels and bedding are changed as promised. During our stay, Wendy popped in to clean the villa allowing us to enjoy our holiday and not needing to complete our normal daily chores at home. During our time in Lanzarote, we traveled the island and I would definitely recommend hiring a car. The villa is a good base from which to explore the island with everything being within 30 minutes’ drive. This was the first time that I had drove in another country and I loved it. The roads are simple, easy to navigate and not busy. There are petrol stations everywhere so no need to worry about filling up your car. We had a fun-packed holiday, so much to do around the Island i.e. buggies, go-karting, zoo, camels, volcanos, beaches, aquarium, water parks, markets and so much more. We can’t wait for our holiday next year where we will be returning to Casa Maja.

The villa is superbly looked after by Mike and Wendy. Welcoming! Great that they provided a basket of a few necessities, plus wine, beer, Cava, milk, tea, coffee, etc. Not many rental villas provide this. The pool (covered) is large and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them and as they live locally easy to get hold of. He gave us a tour of Tias and the local amenities in his car. If you want a relaxing, quiet holiday go to the Casa Maja. All the rooms are spacious and there is plenty of outside area, where you can relax in comfy chairs, dine outside and sunbathe. The supermarket and restaurants are a 20 minute stroll, or 5 minutes by car. 4 euros return by taxi if loaded down with food, etc.. I walked to the supermarket every day and I enjoyed the walk, with a refreshing cooling breeze. As everything was to me and my sons liking we will soon be back. To me, this relaxing holiday was paradise. Peter

Casa Maja - simply magical
CASA MAJA If you fancy a villa full of character, high vaulted ceilings with loads of nooks and crannies, beautiful wood, and a very rustic, but extremely homely feel with all the mod cons you could dream of, then Casa Maja would fit the bill totally. There were so many inside and outside spaces and areas for sitting in, the outside having its own private courtyard at the front, as well has having a beautiful garden with a great pool at the back which was totally private. I am partially sighted, and find going on holiday to various rentals a bit of a challenge but once I had got my bearings i had no difficulty whatsoever manoeuvring around the villa due to all the spaciousness of the lounge, the master bedroom with its amazing balcony/terrace with sea views, and especially the fantastic kitchen which is fully equipped to the highest standard. Great showers, and all 3 rooms ensuite, make this the complete package for a relaxing and superb place to stay for your holidays. The Host, Mike, and his Partner Wendy, made our visit complete. The care and attention to detail in making our holiday one to remember was second to none by this amazing couple. Everything was super clean, and we had towels changed 4 times whilst there for our 2 weeks and also the beds changed regularly too. They provided us with a welcome basket – and what a basket it was! Everything there, including a platter of meats, cheese, bread, and fruit, beer and wine, so we could simply turn up, and enjoy our first day or two without having to go shopping. Tias is a lovely spot to stay, not too far from reaching either the north or the south of the island and within easy distance to all the tourist attractions, wonderful beaches, little villages all with white washed low rise villas and apartments. Such a pretty island, and one that captures your heart. We would recommend Casa Maja, unreservedly. It’s magical and we've come away from our visit feeling we've made new friends in the Owners. Thank you both for giving us such an amazing holiday. We will be back for sure.

Relaxing
What a wonderfully spacious villa this is, very well appointed with all amenities you could think of, even some you didn't think of. The villa is away from the main town centre so your own transport is advisable especially if you want to see the island. Mike and Wendy are wonderful hosts leaving a wonderful platter of cold meat, olives and cheese along with the fresh bread we didn't need to go shopping until the following day especially useful as we arrived on a sunday. Mike gives a us a thorough tour of the house explaining how things worked. We had hired a car at the airport for the week and there was off road parking outside the courtyard/main entrance to the villa. Thank you Mike for making our stay so comfortable and pleasant despite the disappointing weather. Can't wait to come back.

Lovely Villa, comfortable, quiet and clean
We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Casa Maja. The villa is well situated in a residential area, nice and quiet and away from the tourist traps. We loved Tías, a quiet town with a lovely high street with everything you could need, a well stocked supermarket, bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Only 10 mins from the airport but you wouldn’t know it, very peaceful. The villa was absolutely spotless and well appointed. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival. We wanted for nothing. Loved the pool and spent most of the days by it. Mike lives close by and was really helpful. He knows the island well and could point us in the right direction. We hired a car which we thought essential to make the most of the island. We will be definitely be returning in the future. The villa is a credit to you, Mike and Wendy..... Thankyou for a lovely holiday....

Bei Mike ist es immer wieder schön!
Wir sind mit unserer vierköpfigen Familie bereits das dritte mal bei Mike gewesen (und der vierte Urlaub bereits gebucht). Es ist immer wieder ein absolut entspannter und traumhafter Urlaub. Im Haus vermisst man keine Dinge, man hat seine Ruhe und Privatsphäre und der Pool ist ein Garant für Freude bei den Kindern. Mike ist zudem ein sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Vermieter. This is the cleanest, neatest place I have ever stayed. I manage a large commercial cleaning company with nearly 1,000 clients: cleanliness is important to me! The owner, Mike, designed and built this property from the ground up. When you walk in, it just feels like home. It shows true pride of ownership in every detail. The kitchen has every item you could ever want, and all are high quality. The pots and pans are top-notch. Lots of spices as well. Stove, dishwashers and laundry machine all worked perfectly. I have rented numerous times with VRBO/Homeaway and this property is the best, by far. To top it off, Mike provided a "starter package" that included home-made spaghetti Bolognese (it was delicious!), with garlic bread. Also included was 2 bottles of wine, a bottle of champagne, crackers, chips, jams, milk, tea, juice and numerous other items to get us through a day or 2. Incredibly thoughtful. Mike also is a wealth of information about the Island as he has lived there for 25+ years. The owner is very accessible and very accommodating. The beds are comfortable, the location is excellent and close to everything you might want or need. Yet, it is a quiet oasis of calm.TV worked great with lots of various language shows/moves to access. The pool and loungers were all in excellent working order. Nothing is amiss in this property. And Lanzarote: well, if you have never been, you should go. I am not sure there is another place on earth quite like it. The entire Island is neat and clean, the people are amazing and friendly. The scenery is other-worldly. And this property is a perfect base from which to explore. Many thanks to Mike and Wendy for allowing the use of their property. It was, indeed, a privilege.

Excellent holiday, villa, location & host - simple as that!
We had an excellent holiday staying at Casa Maja. The accommodation exceeded our expectation and was a perfect location for exploring the island as well as being very convenient for supermarkets and restaurants. Getting to the beach or doing some of the lovely coastal walks is a breeze - everything is so accessible. The owner, Mike, couldn’t have done anymore to help and assist - his communications from the minute we booked to us arriving were nothing short of perfect including booking airport pick up car hire for us at really good rates. Mike is there when/if you need his assistance otherwise you are free to get on with your holiday. You can book this villa in the full knowledge that you will have a great time in a great place and be looked after by a host that cares about you, you’re family and your holiday. We had a lovely 8 days in this well appointed and stylish villa. The pool is heated a welcome treat for visitors during the chillier months. The garden is secluded and spacious, there is a lovely view of the surrounding hills and the sea from the upstairs very large balcony. The whole villa is very well equipped and Mike the owner who lives close by is very helpful and provides a really good welcome pack. Wendy his partner is the most amazing cleaner and the place is spotless. It is hard to find anything that is not good about the place, our only possible grouch could be that the streaming television connection is a bit hit and miss. Susi

Couldn't want for anything Mike is a fantastic host nothing is too much trouble and with him living next door he's very handy The welcome basket was superb with everything you need for your first day the villa was spotless it's the best villa we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot I would like to wish Mike all the very best he deserves the best for all the fantastic work he does thankyou from the bottom of our hearts Mike God Bless xxx

Very enjoyable stay in an excellent property
We spent 9 very enjoyable days at Casa Maja, despite the weather being less kind than we had hoped. The villa was everything that it was described as being, both inside and out. This is a really nice, spacious villa, with three good en suite bedrooms, spacious living room and kitchen and very well equipped all round. It is private and secluded and the garden and pool are a real sun trap. Mike was very hospitable and keeps the property in excellent condition. Overall a great place to relax.

a perfect place with the best host you can imagine
we spent more than 5 weeks at this lovely house and we were treated like guest in a Hotel; every few days fresh towels, weekly fresh sheets and cleaning and at the day of our arrival ( it was a late arrival) we even got the offer of a hot meal!! the house has much space for everybody and you can enjoy to sit outside either to the poolside in a louge or in the lunch or dining area at a big table. all 3 bedrooms have fully equipped bathrooms and the masterbedroom has a more than large Terrasse with seaview.
