"We had an amazing stay at the cottage. It was cozy and had all the amenities needed to feel right at home. The design and little touches were so thoughtful and lovely. Really made for a special stay in Hella. The hosts were wonderful at communicating and really created a special little place here on their farm. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Iceland! "

"We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages."

"Just came back from a great stay at one of the cottages. Rosa was a pleasure. Met us a minute after we arrived and showed us how everything worked. The cottage is quiet and remote but just a few minutes outside Selfoss which was a lovely little town with everything you could need. It’s a few minutes from Rt 1 so if you’re traveling around, it’s a great location. Would absolutely stay there again if given the chance."

"Upon arrival, we were impressed by the beautiful landscapes. The cabin itself was clean and modern. From the central space, one window offered a view of Icelandic horses. The other was nearly floor to ceiling where we caught sight of the Northern Lights. Renate was quick to respond and help us when we reached out. "We had a great experience here for our short stay in Hella. It’s conveniently located to see all of the southern coast of Iceland in day trips. The farm is nice, peaceful and quiet. You can see the volcano Hekla from here which is amazing."

"Beautiful home, great location, loved the sauna. Only 2 of the 3 beds were made before our party arrive so we had to hunt for the extra bedding but non issue in the end. Great coffee, shower and heated floors awesome! Highly recommend "

Clean, comfortable and everything you need!
"This hotel was perfect for our stay! Clean rooms, fabulous breakfast, the rooms are decorated in a very Icelandic fashion nothing super fancy but comfortable-everything you need and very clean! the hot tub and sauna were great and having a bar and restaurant on site was very handy. Only thing I could say is that we used the coffee cups in the room and glasses, and they weren't replaced the second night so if they could be sure to check on that when cleaning up the room that would be great. Overall would highly recommend!"
