"A beautiful house. Perfect for our annual family Christmas trip. Plenty of room to relax, lots of comfy seating in the cosy living room. The children loved the playroom. We had a couple of power cuts due to the bad weather but the host was in contact with us straight away to give us updates and the issue was fixed really quickly. "We loved our stay at the lodge. It was very well equipped and the location is beautiful. The hosts were super helpful with their communications. The lodge itself is a little tired looking but this didn't bother us. It was clean & tidy though. The location is very calm & peaceful but no amenities within easy walking distance. Again, this didn't bother us as we enjoyed the peace & quiet. "

"Everything in the house was of a high quality and the customer service was excellent. It may be worth knowing the bath is not full size. The super-king bed is very comfortable and the house is close to the village centre yet quiet and peaceful. We would certainly stay again. "

"This property is perfect for a weekend away in the lakes. It’s very central in Coniston but still quiet so much so we never took the cars out at all! The house is well equipped and beautifully appointed and the communication from Brad was excellent. As noted in the details the staircase is steep and one of the bathrooms is one the second floor but we just felt you needed to be careful on them and then they were fine. Thanks Brad and Sue for a very memorable stay."

One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor which was a bit tricky for us staying with young kids and not mentioned in the information, and the on street parking availability on the street mentioned nearby was really limited, but we travelled on a very busy school holiday weekend. "Spent a week there with family and dogs. Very clean and everything you could need The views are beautiful. One thing to note, if you take a dog make sure you have long leads and a torch, as nowhere enclosed to let them off before bed or first thing. Both bathrooms are en-suite as well as opening to the corridor which was a peek we didn’t expect. The perfect place for a relaxing family trip and highly recommend. "

"We had a great stay using this as our base to explore part of the Lake District, easy access to lakes and many fells in one direction and to vast beaches a short drive away in the other direction. Loved the jacuzzi bath to relax in after a long day walking. We found the stairs to be steeper than we are acustomed to and also smaller treads, but a good hand rail for support when going to bed with tired legs. Wifi struggled a bit on occasions with demand when trying to stream something on TV and...

"Enjoyed our stay, few issues. Advised off street parking but drive to short for average car and garage locked and filled with furniture. Water pressure very poor could not fill the bath at all as plug not sealing. Under Microwave very dirty and greecy. Cushions outside sodden wet,we dried and left inconsevatory. No control allowed on central heating."
