"The hotel was beautiful, the only reason I am not rating it as excellent is because our room was extremely hot. I would guess above 80 degrees, we had to turn the heat off completely and sleep with the patio door and all of the windows open in attempt to cool it down. "

"The self check in was very easy. Everything was very clean and neat. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had during our stay in Iceland. Everything was hot and delicious. We loved that they had a self-serve coffee machine with lots of options for different hot drinks. The exterior of the hotel could use a refresh. I would advise not to “judge a book by its cover.” We definitely were not impressed by the front of the hotel but were very pleased with our stay overall. It’s a very convenient location for seeing the waterfalls and doing other glacier activities. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant at their sister hotel, Hotel Skogafoss."

"We made last-minute reservations and loved this charming property. We had excellent communication with our hosts prior to checking in and excellent service once we arrived. Even got a piece of fresh apple cake! We stayed in the Haytower and it was absolutely wonderful, even down to having the northern lights on display. It was by far the best bathroom we’re had all trip."
