"After a rather pot holed approach road to the site you are greeted by a terraced bungalow complex. On my second night I discovered there is accommodation in the attic with bare floor boards- I had a rather noisy person above me! These should be carpeted as a courtesy to those on the ground floor.The person who checked me in was pleasant but not thorough with information. I met her in the grounds as I was checking out and her dog was growling at me.My room was adequate and nicely carpeted with...

"A pleasant stay. After an initial hiccup with our accommodation it was sorted very quickly by Neil for which we were grateful. Would return but would probably return to one of the rooms in the house or the annexe as the Cottage was a little bijou! Very good breakfasts cooked by Jan. Thank you!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The Inn is on a fairly busy road, which means it's easy to find with loads of parking - but most of the better known walks are a drive away. We ate at the restaurant both nights as it was so delicious and the team was lovely and welcoming too. Great ambiance and lovely management."

"Beautiful bedroom furniture, plenty of tea, de-caffeinated coffee and a cafetière too. Biscuits were lovely. The only minor thing is the mattress was a little less than good. Bathroom great, super clean. View out of the front, beautiful. Sash window could open at least half so lovely fresh air. Breakfast was gorgeous and thoroughly enjoyed. Super super will definitely be back."

"We only booked for one night as it was close to Alton Towers but could quite happily have stayed longer. Chalet was really cute, nicely decorated and really clean. Milk, water and orange juice in the fridge was a nice touch (after our long drive it was nice to have a cup of tea that isn’t made from longlife milk 😬). Owner was really friendly and made us both feel welcome. He made us pancakes for breakfast as we aren’t big fans of a full English first thing….It was the BEST pancake ever....

"Stayed here for 2 night's in June and loved it, the place is warm and welcoming, the bed was massive and comfy with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. Shower was easy to use and very clean, definitely stay here again. Breakfast was freshly cooked and cooked how you like it, the host was friendly and veey helpful."

"Room was basic but comfortable. Room had tea/coffee making facilities and small TV. Small wardrobe and sink. My room didn't have a bathroom but two on landing. One with shower and one with bath/shower. Soap and towels provided. Good view with plenty of greenery piece and quiet. Tasty breakfast. Everything was nice and clean. Shared lounge to relax in with stereo and TV. Lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants nearby. Would stay again. "
