"I don’t normally review hotels unless they are outstanding and this hotel was. Amazingly large room just outside main hotel. Ordered food to take back to room and couldn’t fault it. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Nice breakfast too. Would recommend and definitely stay here again. Thank you. "

"Firstly, the staff were so friendly and helpful - a real credit to the hotel. Garfield House itself was clean and well maintained with spacious reception areas and large, comfortable ensuite bedrooms. The dining room and bar were located away from the rest of the hotel with both good food and drink offerings. The fact that the bar and dining room were tucked away from the other larger reception and function rooms was brilliant as we were able to dine in peace whilst a number of events were taking place in the main areas of the hotel over the weekend. This wasn't a problem at all as it was nice to see people having a wonderful time celebrating at this charming hotel. The soundproofing in the two bedrooms we booked (on different floors) was surprisingly good as we weren't disturbed by any late night revellers or early morning departures. The carpark was spacious and had both steps and a ramp to reception, and the location of the hotel was very convenient for a stay near to the north eastern outskirts of Glasgow, whilst still being within easy reach of the motorway network. I look forward to another stay in the near future."

"This was a lovely peaceful place to stay. The house felt like a home and had everything we needed. We were pleased we had a car, it would’ve been difficult to access the property without one. It was only a short drive to the shops to get supplies. Tay cottage was private. We enjoyed sitting in the spa and looking out onto a paddock of sheep and the towns in the distance . We’d definitely come back if we had the opportunity."

"Very quiet spot and a lovely boat for a brief holiday to see family in Glasgow. Bus stop straight into Glasgow only 5 minute walk and an m&s food across the road-perfect!"

"Lovely cabin and impressive surroundings with beautiful views and nature. The hot tub is such a very nice extra. We had a great time! Note: those without a car can still arrive with taxi services but availability during certain times of the day/week can be spotty."
