"We had a very comfortable stay here, with a clean and spacious room. The saunas are great along with a nice relaxation area. We dined in the hotel as the weather was bad outside with snow and ice. The wait for the food was a little long as we unfortunately arrived in the restaurant just after a couple of groups. However,. when it did come the food was very good. "The hotel was fine, the service was terrible. We had to wait a long time to check in. We had dinner at the hotel and had to wait for 2 hours get our food, with no apology or compensation. A steak was overcooked and when we pointed this out, the server challenged us and said it was fine. We were so hungry we ate the meal, but would never eat here again."

"We checked in at 9 pm no one at the desk. 2 singles was a queen bed with 2 duvets for my son and I both over 6 foot. Took turns sleeping on the floor after asking for extra duvets which never arrived nor was the room serviced . Not better than a campsite . Be warned"

"Overall understaffed. The food in the restaurant was not the best but good portions. Order-taking and service took long due to short staff. Walls were very thin and all of the doors closed with a large slam, making it very sleep-disruptive in the morning and night. The shower door of my room was broken. The reception staff was friendly and sincere but there is only so much one person can pull. Needs more staff. "

Amazing hosts, extremely clean, lots of space

"We LOVED our stay here. The hosts made it feel like we were staying with family. They were accommodating and really kind, friendly, and generous. They even surprised us with Belgium waffles for our family. The house has a lot of space. Our party of 8 had plenty of room to spread out and we all rested well here. The house and property are immaculately clean. I usually wash all of the dishes before we use them when staying at a new place, but it was so clean here that we felt comfortable using dishes right out of the cupboard. We loved staying in a historic home in all its charm. The backyard was gorgeous. The parking was off street and was no problem for our 9 passenger van."

"Friendly and helpful owners. Dog friendly property and location (spacious garden) Cleanliness and condition of the property were so so. The furniture, kitchen and shower could need an update. Shower wasn’t properly working (lukewarm water). Location is great. After some adjustments and updates this could be a great property."
