"Stardust Big Bend is worth 6 stars!! We looked high and low for a rental that met our needs and this far exceeded our expectations. It is conveniently located near Big Bend NP and very close to many local dining options. The A-Frame is the star of the show. Clean and modern, NOT an old cabin or trailer. "The picture of the property was underwhelming but once we got into the room we were very pleasantly surprised. A big, comfortable king size bed. A wonderful, tiled shower. A mini fridge. Maid service. Another couple we talked to stayed at the A-frame property one night and this another night and they said this was just as nice. My wife and I would go back to this place in a minute."

"This is a beautiful facility in a beautiful location. Five stars except that it advertises that there is wifi in the rooms. We had no service. I emailed the address given via my phone but received no response whatever. This doesn't detract much from the otherwise great experience. But, for the price, the property should fulfill its advertised representations. It was disrespectful not to respond to my query at all."

"This was a nice little motel. Nothing fancy, but hopefully if you are in Study Butte/Terlingua you don't spend much time in your motel. The room could have been cleaner. There was quite a bit of loose hair on the floor in the bathroom. The front door needed to be pushed hard to shut and lock. The hot water was plentiful with great pressure. We did not explore the rest of the motel. We would absolutely stay here again."

"Off the beaten path! Great ranch lodge type experience! The people were friendly and the food at The Bad Rabbit Cafe was excellent! I wasn’t expecting it to be as far from Terlingua as it was but that also is what added to the character of the place! This area of Texas was on our “Bucket List” and Terlingua Ranch Lodge gave us authenticity to our experience. Thank you!"

The Rio Grande River winds 12 miles down Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park, Texas. When the water is high you can come down the 1,500 foot walled canyon. With less water flowing, guides take you 3 to 4 miles up the canyon with some spots having to portage. But take it all in stride because the views are breathtaking. I recommend Big Bend River Tours. You might get lucky and have the guides that take you a half mile up a side canyon. An excellent day excursion in the out of the way national park.
