"Wonderful ryokan / hotel with its own onsen. It was only a one night stay, wish it could have been longer. Ideal hotel to relax and unwind at. The set menu evening meal was outstanding and great value - make sure to add it for one night! The onsen facilities at the hotel and in room bath were excellent. Recommended hotel if you’re in Yamagata. "

"Wrhis was our second time. We stayed here last year in March also liked this hotel very much, especially after staying at the hotel where the real estate was very expensive; so, we not only didn’t have a closet, or space to walk to get to other side of the bed."

"We stayed here for a week while visiting our daughter who lived nearby. The staff were friendly, and polite. No problem with communication even though I do not speak Japanese. I really enjoyed their breakfast buffet. The view of the mountains from the room can't be beat. I agree with one review that said the toilet in the reception is the best toilet I have been to in Japan, as crazy as that may sound. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent service. Free shuttle to and from Tendo station. They also managed to keep and deliver our luggage to station after check out. There is a tax free shop and supermarket within walkable distance. Dinner and breakfast is good and fulfilling. Onsen is relaxing."
