Situated in a listed historic building, this hotel boasts with charm. Each of the apartments that are grouped around the beautiful courtyard has been refurbished with style and decorated in a distinctive and tasteful manner. As we happened to be the last guests in the week of the Corona lockdown, Sonsoles gave us a tour, so that we could get an impression of all the apartments. It will be hard to decide which we should take the next time.
Apart from the beauty of the building and its perfect location close to the historic centre of Teguise, Palacio Ico offers all amenities of a luxury hotel, notably a breakfast that you should not miss. The restaurant is open to the public and offers local specialties and a long list of Lanzarotean wines. During the Corona curfew, the dinner was the highlight of our day and we took the opportunity of trying almost all the delicious dishes on the menu.
What makes the place stand out, however, are the people who run it and who did whatever the could to make our stay a delightful experience despite of the restrictions that came along with the curfew. Not only did they continue the breakfast and dinner service but also the organised a yoga class, a wine and cheese tasting event and a homemade lunch, which we could all enjoy in the sunny and wind covered patio.
Thank you once again for all!
