NOVA HOUSES is situated in East Algarve. This is a tiny village set in a high valley of the mountainous protected national park of the 'Serra de Alcaria do Cume'. The country roads to Casas Novas change from tarmac to 'Umbria' then along apx 3 k of good forestry road with the final rough track into the village to be driven along slowly.
Casas Novas is the natural choice to retreat to peace and relaxation. Nature, calm and quiet. A seasonal spring fed river, offering an occasional swimming hole in winter spring and early summer, provides an oasis for bird life and wonderful springflowers.
'Dark skies' provide a great view of the night sky. Visitors can enjoy, hill walking, floral nature trails, bird spotting, mountain and road biking and the opportunity to enjoy the natural peace and quiet. 5 minutes drive away is local restaurant for those who do not wish to self cater.
A panoramic 25 minute drive takes you down to the coastal 'Roman' town of Tavira, with its castle, gardens and churches, riverside cafes and restaurants with access to thousands of golden sandy swimming beaches.
