We have stayed at Cabanas Gardens on several occasions now as the standard of accommodation is excellent and suits our needs as an adult couple with no children as it is usually a quiet relaxing environment. This is one of the quieter resorts in Cabanas, which is worth highlighting if considering the various options available, as there is no bar or refreshments here. However, it is only a short walk to reach the bars and restaurants and access to the beach. Love it and look forward to our next visit.

Excellent location, well maintained and apartments of high standard, check-in and check- out are disappointing as the mgt company office is offsite and requires guests phoning for service and having to wait around for a period of time.

We had stayed here 2 years previously and since then the general condition of the complex had deteriorated considerably The pool being out of use for our entire stay ,communal lights flashing or not working flaking paint and damp patches Our 1 bed penthouse apartment had plastic mattress protectors which were uncomfortable and noisy We had no shade on the balcony so had to sit inside in afternoon sun The shower head was leaking and needs replacing We also think that for the price paid basic requirements eg washing up liquid and toilet cleaner should be left There is no wi -fi in the apartment and no concierge on site

Very nice accommodation but we were disappointed that there was no internet connection in the rooms. There was also a problem with the drainage and we would have liked more notice of the water being cut off. It was left to the staff to put a notice on the door without telling anyone personally, a note through our door would have been more sensible. We have been there twice before and look forward to retuning but the lack of Wifi may make us think about other places in Cabanas.

Spacious, clean, well equipped apartment
We stayed in a T1 pool apartment. The apartment was very spacious and clean. We had a room with two twin beds pushed together and there was also a double sofa bed in the living room.The kitchen was well equipped and had the added bonus of a dishwasher and a washing machine. We had WiFi in our apartment because we were near the pool, if WiFi is a must for your holiday I suggest you recommended a pool-side apartment. Having read other reviews we were worried it would be difficult to find the building but I just put the postcode supplied in the confirmation email into google maps and we found it no problem. I can see how it may be difficult in the dark as the sign is not huge. The location is great, less than a 5min walk to the waterfront where there are beautiful views ans plenty of bars and restaurants.

Secluded Resort close to Main Street
This resort has nice apartments with all facilities, washing machine, dishwasher etc. They have a pool and are within walking distance to Cabanas front and the shops and restaurants. The main problem I had was that there was no internet in the apartment, even though I was given a code and there was a TP link in the room, internet could only be accessed at the reception or the pool, so for us this was a major issue as we needed to be connected. When we arrived we were given lots of rules and regulations, codes etc., to access the pool area and had to pay 100 euros up front in case we broke anything. Also if you arrive after 7pm you have to pay 30 euros extra and if after midnight a charge of 50 euros would be made. So bear this in mind if you have a late flight. There were long dark corridors and confusing elevators to reach your apartment which for me was unfathomable in a two/three story building. All in all I didn't really feel relaxed here, even though the apartments were quite large and comfortable. I would not stay again without wifi in the room.

The perfect holiday
Cabanas is a lovely place to bring the whole family. From the time we landed in Faro airport to the time we departed it was excellent. Cabanas Garden apartments were really lovely and only a five minute walk to the main thoroughfare. Restaurants were all excellent but you have to book in advance. Food is really great. Beach a short spin on a boat which is very exciting especially for the children. Transport from and to faro airport was excellent 'faro transfers'. Taxi drivers were so nice and full of information, would highly recommend them. .

Paradise in Portugal
Loved this place. Had a penthouse room on the top floor with large private terrace which was perfect for secluded sunbathing. It was very quiet at the end of May, very few guests. Accommodation was of a high standard, just don't like 2 single beds pushed together. Wifi didn't work in the apartment for most of the stay (due to weather apparently, it was cloudy and humid for a few days). Staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Especially delivering the surprise birthday flowers my partner had organised. The small beachfront area had a few nice clubs, and it was pleasant enough walking along the boardwalk and taking the boat over to the beach on the sandbar. But most of the town is just one resort or timeshare village after another, doesn't feel like Portugal, but maybe this is typical of the Algarve (was my first visit to the area). Tavira itself is also a pleasant town. Enjoyed daytrips to Loule, Monte Gordo (best beach) and Vila Real de San Antonio.
