As other reviewers have said, the hotel is generally exceptional in all respects. In my case, however, there were two unfortunate exceptions. The first was the bed. It’s no exaggeration to describe it as the hardest I have ever experienced. Had I not pre-paid I would have left after the first night. I complained to the receptionist in the morning. She seemed unconcerned. I asked if a topper could be added and she agreed to arrange it. Nothing had happened by 4pm so I went to see her again. She pretended to be engrossed in work and didn’t even look up at me. I complained to Expedia. By 4.30 the topper was in place! The second weak point was the above receptionist, who must have attended the same course as the one on duty when I left. She too ignored me as I stood in front of her to give my key back. I had stayed there for over a week and I expected the receptionist to hope that I’d enjoyed my stay, that she hoped that I’d stay there again, and to wish me a pleasant journey. But nothing! A complete contrast to the exceptionally friendly male receptionists and restaurant workers who had greeted me every day. A word to the wise!
