"A great pub stopover. Stayed here for one night whilst working in the area. Nothing at all to complain about. Staff were really friendly and made you feel welcome. Food was good, Both evening meal and breakfast. At the time of my visit the accommodation was being redecorated which gave the place a more modern feel. I wouldn't have a problem stopping here again."

"The lodge is set in a very scenic setting next to Lock Aboyne and woodlands which you can walk around. The property itself owned and run by a lovely couple who pretty much seem to do everything themselves. The decor is dated and old fashioned but if you like golf this is a great option as the course setting is fabulous …it’s a 9 hole set over a huge expanse with inclines and some difficult hazards. "Buckhood cottage had everything needed, clean and functional. The kitchen was a good size with the best view to look at while washing up. Beds were comfy and slept very well. Only issue was the shower, very low pressure and runs scorching hot and freezin cold. Overall a very good stay. Xxx"

"On a spacious site by a river, we were welcomed to this superb accommodation by casual and friendly hosts and enjoyed the sporting facilities like golf, tennis, snooker walks and cycling and as well as the castles, restaurants and other amenities in this lovely area. We had only one infant but he too was well catered for."
