"Buckhood cottage had everything needed, clean and functional. The kitchen was a good size with the best view to look at while washing up. Beds were comfy and slept very well. Only issue was the shower, very low pressure and runs scorching hot and freezin cold. Overall a very good stay. Xxx"

Check in was easy and the owners were very helpful and communicative. "I can’t think of a better place from which to explore the Cairngorms. This property, including our little cottage, is an historical gem. You will have to manage a few tiny comfort issues like no shower, the cushions on the living room furniture were worn to the point you are sitting in the frame, there were spiders (harmless) everywhere. "This property was exactly as expected and really good value. The location is lovely and really convenient for hiking, mountain biking and all the area has to offer. "Cottage is in a lovely quiet location and is very well equipped- beds are very coverage too. I didn’t have much communication from the hosts as didn’t need it- only downside was getting told off for putting the radiators on. I couldn’t get the towels dry overnight for a shower the next day- weather was too wet to hand them out and they wouldn’t dry in the cottage."

"Had a fantastic stay, the accommodation was spotless. Great private garden with hot tub. Owner Alan was fantastic, showed me round the property, was shown how hot tub worked. Everything was provided to make it a lovely relaxing holiday. Plenty nice cafes and shops in edzell to get everything needed. Great base for travelling round and visiting nearby towns. Bed was so comfy, it was warm when I stayed but the bothy was lovely and cool. Will definitely be back for another visit. Best relaxing...

"We had a great long weekend in Oct/Nov. The village is fantastic with a traditional butcher, farm shop and amazing cafe, all on a lovely high street. A wonderful park across the road which the dog loved. Lots of amazing walks nearby. The flat was cosy and there were some lovely treats on arrival. Great for dog owners too. "
