"The steps you encounter are not mentioned. And are near vertical. A ladder brings you up to the back garden. The door to the property is the only way in or out and the only daylight. Steps down to the kitchen. 3 foot fall to bathroom and dungeon style chamber. Lightning is extremely limited and everything is painted black. No steps provided to get into bed. "Superb apartment, situated on the Barbican which is in the middle of the action. The apartment has been renovated recently and is beautifully done. The only minor downside is it could do with a fan to keep cool at night. All in all it was perfect."
