"Loved our time at Borghetto Calcinaia. We enjoyed the pool, views of the lake, the gardens, the nearby towns. Ben was very helpful and we were delighted to have food at the house when we arrived. The property had everything we needed and it's very comfortable. Can't wait to return!"

"We have just had a wonderful week here as a family of 5. It was initially very hard to locate, there are no signs and the sat nav brought us to the gates of an industrial looking building. However, when we discovered you could drive along to the next road entrance on the left and follow this around further to the left.. it leads to the stunning property. It could be better signposted. "Podere Castallare is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we did not have a relaxing stay. Music was played at full volume directly into our bedroom from the bar from around 4pm - 11pm every day. It was so loud we could not spend time in our room. The air conditioner was broken and not fixed. We were treated rudley at dinner by the manager, which added to the tension in the atmosphere."

He provided a brief history of the area and the farm and gave instructions regarding the property. He also provided recommendations on restaurants and suggestions of where to park in Florence. "Lovely agriturismo in Tuscany, we enjoyed our four days. Great for families, wonderful pool with vista views of the countryside and vineyards, ping pong, and football tables for the kids. Cesare was such a welcoming and pleasant host."
