"Check in was a disaster. They didn't communicate through email any check in instructions, they use an App that I don't have or use. Once we cleared that up it took almost an hour from the time I got the the property to figure out their demands to get an expensive deposit made until I could get a code to get into the place. The management company the owner uses for check in is a disaster. Poor customer service, didn't respond to most emails. The place itself is small and basic which is fine....

"We had four adults stay for ten days and a fifth join us for three nights. It was an incredible experience all around. My husband was directing a show for the Gilbert and Sullivan festival and several of our housemates were in the show. They felt like they were living in luxury! To top it off, the walk into town (and to their rehearsals) were a treat, cutting through the park and enjoying all the scenes. If you want an attentive host, Angela is it! She even contacted me to see if I needed...

"We had a really lovely stay at the Old Stables as a group of 30 year olds in Buxton for a wedding. Sue is a very informative host and we had no issues checking in. The house is in an excellent location and within walking distance of all Buxton has to offer. The photos also don’t do the house justice, it is so spacious and has everything needed for a great group holiday! "

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. But the house was unsafe and it was dangerous for fire no fire escape from the room. The room hadn't been readied there was no bed linen and it wasn't ready to go into so we had to wait for a hour. "
