"We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Tyn-y-Coed - the location is excellent for walking from the doorstep and the parking is great. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had good storage. The addition of a drying line in the bathroom is a super idea. We loved the styling of decor in reception and the bar/restaurant and enjoyed the Snowdon Lager on draught. We look forward to visiting again. "

"Lovely large room! With a jacuzzi bath, just a shame the jets didn’t work. We were staying to scatter friends ashes so didn’t spend much time in the room. Bed was comfortable and large, room was clean and tidy. Plus we had a wonderful sea view! "

"Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was decent. My supply of coffee was topped up with extra sachets when the staff saw that I'd bought my own jar of coffee after I ran out. The atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant and cosy. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre, which makes it cheaper than more central places - but if you can't stand a five-minute walk, what are you doing in Betws-y-Coed? :)"

"I stayed at the White Lion on my way down from Scotland. Turned out to be brilliant choice. The hotel has fantastic pub and atmosphere. I really liked the staff, very friendly lot. My room was on the top floor, it was spacious, had a great bed, good bathroom and housecleaning. 👍 It’s central to Bala and Bala is a great village."

"Lovely place to stay staff friendly clean beds comfortable .stairs very steep need to take your time with them people with poor mobility would find them hard to cope .there is room for 2 cars to park opposite hotel or need to park in carpark a 2-5 minute walk away .you can purchase a parking pass for £5 per day to stay there and it also cover other cars named on list in different car parks food served is very good in the restaurant not too pricey ."

"Pretty straight forward needed a night to stay since I was working on the weekend and the room was reasonably priced, staff is friendly, room was cleaned enough and it was comfortable enough that’s all I need so it’s worth going if you don’t fancy forking over a fortune to over places, got a pub downstairs and breakfast in the morning but couldn’t attend to those things as I drive and wake up earlier hours but overall judging the place it seemed pretty decent and I can’t complain."

The surrounding area is stunning, with gorgeous Harlech beach and Snowdonia right on your doorstep! Great little pub down the road that served lovely food.
