"Staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was great. Views of Mt Sakurajima were absolutely beautiful which is partly why I booked. I opted for a room with private onsen as I have tattoos. They offered tattoo covers but I thought they looked a but silly as I ended up looking like a patchwork quilt. We did did go down the hotels cable car to check out the relaxation room and enjoy some ice pops and tea. My only disappointment was being offered dining option times of 5:30 or 7:30pm, we asked for 7:30 as we’d had a really late lunch. But were then told 7:30 was booked. We couldn’t really enjoy dinner as we were still full from lunch. It is enjoyable though having private dining spaces. "

"Only the staff should be more familiar with options to visit the nearby national park. But the reception is helpful with providing customers with maps. My only problem is the room price."

"Overall a very good stay for family travellers. Huge hot spring area, buffet and proximity to the national park for a reasonable premium. The immediate surrounding area is walkable. To reach Kirishima Jingu and trail heads inside NP you need a car. Bus routes run only 2-4 times a day. If you have to take a bus watch out for departure times."

"Clean and excellent service. Lots of facilities within the hotel. Breakfast and Dinner were excellent. Free supper is availabe at 10-11pm."

The front desk agent went above and beyond his duties to help my guests navigate their way to the Hotel since it’s relatively new and unique. The young ladies working the morning shift were equally helpful when I needed help translating and making calls. I can’t recommend enough and would absolutely stay again because they’re affordable, super kind and close to everything. Thank you"

"The building and the room are clean and fine, but the location was far enough from the airport that you would absolutely need a taxi to get to the airport. However, you’re supposed to make a taxi RSVP at least 48 hours before the date you need it. Local taxis are usually fully booked by early RSVPs, and wont be able to come pick you up like you would expect. I didn’t know that till I arrived at the Inn late in the evening, and I needed a taxi in the next morning fairly early. So I had to figure out how to make a phone call to taxi companies (landlines) via Skype subscription first, and I barely found one after calling 6 different taxi companies. If you don’t have a car, and don’t speak Japanese, or you don’t have a phone that can make a phone call to a japanese landline (you can do this by installing Skype and then buy a 30day subscription for $8), I don’t recommend this place to stay. There’s virtually no public transportation nearby. This inn should make that crucial point much more clear to the customers, so that they would be more prepared when they come to stay, and not have to panic when they realize that they may or may not be able to make it to the airport next day for their next flight. "
