This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. "My wife Jo and I spent a very pleasant ten days at Mas Santol. The gite is very beautiful, in a great location not far from the charming small town of Ceret. We explored the area and also went further afield, to the beach at Le Racoul and into the mountains of Prats-de-Mollo. Martine and Serge were very nice to deal with. We arrived at night and were a bit uncertain about the area but by the next morning felt comfortable walking around. The front desk was always helpful but otherwise it works a bit more like a furnished apartment building than a hotel. We would stay there again."
