The perfect getaway
Beautiful property inside and out, clean and well maintained, stocked up kitchen, lots of extra amenities, in a calm neighborhood, and just a short 10-15 minute drive to activities. The indoor pool was a huge bonus. Matti, the manager was very nice and accommodating. Definitely plan to come back. Thank you Matti!

Wonderful weekend with large family.

Excelent place to celebrate a Birthday party
Just got back from spending a whole weekend at this cabin. Me and my friends had a great time with all the amenities (pool, jacuzzi, billiards) and enjoyed the views of the freeze lake from the cabin.

perfect place for families!
Our group of 7 (4 adults, two toddlers and an infant) had an awesome time at this place! the house was exactly as advertised with plenty of space for the kids to run around. The pool was clean and a great temp and the kids didn’t want to get out. Hot tub was so nice to enjoy after the kids had gone down for the night. Easy drive to get to Wisp, restaurants, etc. Would stay here again and bring a few more friends or family!

Overall the experience was good… it was out first time at this property and we go to Deep Creek at least 2 times a year. Some of the amenities need updated…. The foose ball was broken. The air hockey table was broke. And no useable pool sticks for either pool table. The mixer in the kitchen did not work. The dryer would not dry out clothes until my husband pulled it out and cleaned the vent hose. The back deck was so dirty and overgrown we had to sweep the dirt and moss off it to keep from tracking it into the hot tub.

Great Family Time
The house was nice and spacious. Great location. Everyday we went for an enjoyable walk. The amenities were family friendly. I would stay there again. The downside-the cleaning people did not do a good job. But the owner was very responsive.

Great Place to Vacation with Kids
Great place for a vacation with kids. With the indoor pool, the mini putt-putt right next door, the free tennis courts across the road and a beautiful State Park 10 minutes away, it was a great weekend away with friends. We had a large group with 7 adults and 6 kids and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms to go around and a dining room table big enough for all of us. Highly recommend. We had a great time.

Great location for kids!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The tennis courts and mini golf was directly adjacent to the property which was a huge bonus for us- we could sit on the deck and watch our tween kids play tennis/golf from there. The house had a few minor maintenance issues but was overall very clean and in good condition. We had to drive to a community parking lot to access the lake and the lake was not visible from the property, which was not our expectation, but ended up being fine. The indoor pool seemed clean and well maintained. Thanks for a fun vacation!

The property had a great location, however, both inside and outside need some TLC, The living area was great and and the side porch was great for relaxing. We had 6 children over the age of 4 so there were no appropriate glasses and they didn’t understandably want to use toddler cups. We had exactly 12 plates so it was a constant dishwashing.

House needs a deep cleaning
This house needs a thorough deep cleaning, especially the kitchen area. The house layout was not as expected, we thought from the pics that there was a family room below the main level but it was all on the main level. The bedroom on the main floor was really not a bedroom, it was an extension off the family room with a sliding room divider. The host was very accessible and replied timely to some issues we had with the pool.

Great Girls' Getaway
I rented the house for a group of ten girlfriends (all moms) getting away for a weekend in January for skiing and had a wonderful time. The house was clean and spacious, had plenty of rooms to spread out comfortably and the kitchen was well stocked. We had our meals together at the big table and had MANY laughs. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Drive to Wisp is not far. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. House is modern and nicely decorated. The owner, Matti, was very responsive and helpful. I'd definitely rent again. Thank you!

The property was not waterfront. No access to the lake from this house. Golfing was great. Would have loved being able to see the lake. Had to drive to be able to see it. Think the pool and hot tub should have been checked midweek to see it the chemicals were good.

Perfect for the family!
Upon arrival our family was just blown away by the home! The kitchen was perfect for making our family of 12 meals. There was plenty of space for each of us to have our own bedroom and bathroom. The outdoor patio and deck were lovely to have coffee on and have a fire in the evening. Our children so enjoyed the games in the garage, the mini golf next door, and the quietness of the neighborhood so they could ride their bikes to their hearts delight! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and dishes and appliances. If you think you need to bring it - think again they have it! The state park was a quick drive down the road and there was a lovely self serve firewood stand so we could stick for the evening. The pool was an added plus for us to swim around in the evenings! The alarm for the pool was added saftey and peace of mind for our kids who could have swam all night. The hot tub is placed nicely on the back patio but was not incredibly clean and smelled a little funky but still enjoyable. Look no further, this is the perfect rental for your family!

Just a little disappointed
I stayed here in 2014 with extended family and was excited to stay again this year when we found it available. the place was exactly as I remembered, beautiful and spacious - loved the pool and hottub, but there were some details that left a lot to be desired. there is some wear and tear throughout the house that needs attention. also we had planned to have friends over to watch the Super Bowl. THANKFULLY we cancelled because we were not feeling well, as we would have been very embarrassed how the tv kept freezing and glitching and the few of us there ended up watching in one of the bedrooms. Also, one of the two beds in the upstairs corner rooms was missing, but luckily no one extra ended up staying. So, overall - a beautiful home that needs some TLC. The host was great at communicating with us, and one of the things she couldn't possibly control is the noise level in the area. We didnt mind the cute family right next door, however someone in the area was playing music so loud at 2 am that we thought they were on our porch or in the hottub. it ended up being across the way and with no noise ordinance, there was nothing that could be done about it. I personally prefer a more private secluded place when paying so much for a rental Just my 2 cents.

Great neighborhood amenities, but house could use some attention
Our family of 11 had a most wonderful Easter vacation at this large home in a fun neighborhood. Literally just outside the door are two tennis courts and a quaint mini golf course, but what made the weekend - at least for 8 of us - was the par three golf course within short walking distance....all this comes free of charge with the rental! The clubhouse is just two doors down where golf clubs and pull carts are there for borrowing. Plenty of beds/bedrooms/bathrooms, eating surfaces and seating in the house, but the house and contents have seen better days, despite the misleading mention of the "Bush family" in the description. I recommend getting the linen service - very convenient and plentiful. A huge stack of firewood available for use in the indoor fireplace and outdoor patio fire pit. Two refrigerators were wonderful to have! The pool and hot tub were well maintained and clean. We brought most of our own food, but there is a Walmart within 15 minutes and a small market even closer. One dinner out (3 adults) at the local Dutch's Silver Tree was very nice. Some cookware (pots and pans) were missing or ruined when we arrived, but we were quickly brought new ones. The owner was quick to reply to our emails. We will definitely consider returning to the property in the future and hope that some of the maintenance issues we've passed along to the owner will be attended to.

Awesome Indoor Pool
We visited for a ski weekend with 6 adults and 7 children (7,7,7,6,4,2,2). We loved the pool. It was clean and warm and the perfect size for our children to play. We also loved the location, about 10 minutes from WISP, and the neighborhood was lovely. Our children went out to play at the mini golf course and in the large yard. They rode scooters along the paved service road and roller skated in the large garage. Plus the extra fridge in the garage was super useful, and we appreciated the large washer and dryer. Overall, we had plenty of space and enjoyed our time but we found the home in need of a little TLC. Two of the leather sofas had rips in them and the cushions on the white sofas didn't stay in place and kept sliding out. There were broken towel hooks and rods, and the ironing board was bent as if somebody hung from it. In the kitchen, we could have used a cookie sheet and some glass pyrex pans or baking/casserole dishes. We scrubbed all of the pans and cookware that we used because things seemed greasy and worn. Some areas were dusty like the screens above the stove and a better vacuum would have helped us clean up along the way. We are looking to plan another trip next year and will consider coming back after reviewing some other locations with a pool. With a little TLC, this would be my #1 choice.

Loved the house but had to make a few minor requests...
The house was perfect for our needs and looked exactly as advertised. Our family enjoyed the layout and the extra sleeping spaces. We used the indoor pool a great deal and it was nice that we could take a dip rain or shine. The kitchen was spacious enough and all utensils, pots and pans were adequate. Loved the location of the house and the fact that the covered porch faced the tennis court and mini golf which allowed our group to socialize freely. We especially appreciated the guest bath on the first floor. The first floor bedroom had a private bathroom. The house had three private baths and five bedrooms which was really convenient. There was also a nice space on the first floor where the daybed is located that could be used as a private bedroom complete with a lock. The space could also be used as a sitting area if necessary. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue as we had to call and request a cleaning of the grill and weeding of the back patio. There was a bush growing into the pool area. We made a call and someone came out immediately and fixed the problem. By the time we got back from shopping, the grill had been cleaned and the weed removed. However, it would have been nice had they weeded the entire patio instead of just removing the bush. We would definitely rent this house again as it is very spacious and very close to the main gate of the subdivision. Very easy to find and accessible from the road. It is also easy to get to the lake from the house. Lastly, the house is just 7 minutes to Deep Creek State Park. Our family spent a lot of time there enjoying kayaking, boating, jet skiing and other water sports. Additionally, there is a fishing pond on the grounds near the golf course

An honest review
Our recent stay at this house was extremely disappointing as the house is in desperate need of a deep clean and normal home maintenance. I hesitated on writing this review, but I do feel like it is necessary to be honest. The layout of the house is wonderful for large families, as it does have plenty of bedrooms and hangout areas both in and outside of the house. The views from every room are beautiful and it feels very private even when outside. However, the house itself is in need of a lot of maintenance. While I completely understand that this is a rental home and wear and tear is to be expected, I do not expect to rent a place that is filthy. There are major signs that this house has not been cleaned in a very long time with the exception of the weekly wipe down in between rentals. There are cobwebs hanging from the ceilings in multiple rooms. The air duct vents are absolutely filthy with not only dust but also brown grime. The carpets are severely worn and stained. (caused socks to have black stains on the bottoms) The oven was not cleaned prior to our arrival (or in a while) and had food stuck on it. The toaster oven knobs were not cleaned and were greasy. The kitchen floors were sticky. The grill was disgusting. The pool table was full of crumbs and has holes in the felt (again, I understand it is a rental but it was disappointing). Stains on the walls in the bathroom. The outside deck furniture is definitely on its last legs. The patio where the hot tub is located appears to show signs of a potential cave in soon. The siding on the house is in need of a power wash. This home is not being maintained and it shows in all that I have listed. Every rental will have its issues and will never be like your own home, but there was just far too many concerns with this house. If the owner would invest back into the house, then it would be a great house in a great location with amazing views.

Family vacation
We take our children and grandchildren to DC Lake every summer. We try different homes and different areas. We were very pleased with the home and the layout. The pool was a huge hit, and the mini golf and tennis courts were right next to us. The boys enjoyed golf and fishing at the pond, which was very well stocked. We would stay again

Great memories were made
6 adults and 6 children were in attendance and we were so glad we found this property! The pool was definitely the main factor we choose this rental. The kids were in it every chance they got. The house is huge and sleeping arrangements were no problem at all. We all got to enjoy the golf course, mini golf, tennis courts, the fishing spot, the hot tub, but mostly the pool. Our only minor complaint was we couldn't find the crock for the crock pot. Would definitely recommend for a large group. Our 5 day stay was great, we all had a blast!
