Was left stranded in Riyadh during LEAP so no hotels were available and was forced to pay a fortune last-minute for the only hotel available on the night."

Great local area to explore. Go right out of hotel to Olaya mall a short distance away. Go left and there's a multitude of coffee shops. Had 2 nice dinners at Allo Beirut in same direction on hotel side of road. Don't be intimidated by culture if from West. Embrace Saudi Arabia and it will embrace you. ...
